Jamal Crawford (36) & LA win shootout with Kevin Durant (42/10) & OKC

“Jamal Crawford comes across halfcourt shooting,” Durant said. “You’ve got confidence once you start seeing the ball go in the rim.”

If there’s a player in the league that doesn’t lack confidence in his shot it’s Jamal Crawford – the NBA record holder for 4 point plays and unofficially for breaking the most ankles with his shake and bake moves and crossover.

Crawford had a team high 36 points on Sunday in the Clippers victory over the Thunder. He made 5 3-pointers and like KD mentioned, many were from way beyond the 3 point line. He also had a 3 that should have improved his NBA record of 4 point plays but a whistle wasn’t blown.

Durant had a game high 42 points a team high 10 assists for the Thunder but every time KD or one of his teammates did something, Crawford was there with a response.

“Jamal made timely shots,” said teammate Chris Paul. “Every time they made a run and we just needed a bucket, Jamal was our guy.”

Paul had a pretty impressive game too, flirting with a triple double with 18, 12 & 8. DeAndre Jordan had a double double of 18 & 12 and Blake Griffin had 20, 7 & 6.

Speaking of big numbers and Jamal Crawford. Before half-time, Crawford was asked on the spot if he could name all 17 of his coaches and being the clutch performer he is, he did it.
